About Me

I toed the line of my first triathlon when I was just 8 years old and have never looked back. Over 10+ years competing at every level from local sprint races to the professional circuit, I’ve built the kind of experience that only comes from actually doing the work. That’s what I bring to every athlete I coach.

My coaching roots go back to founding triathlon clubs at Eastern Illinois University and North Central College, and serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the swimming programs at North Central College, where I earned my Master’s Degree. It was there that I realized coaching wasn’t just something I wanted to do alongside my racing career. It was what I was built for.

In 2022, I made the jump to professional racing, transitioning from short-course draft-legal triathlon to long-course and 70.3 competition. The training methods I use aren’t pulled from a textbook, I’m in the middle of them every single week alongside you.

In 2023, I joined North Central College as Head Women’s Triathlon Coach. What followed has been the most rewarding chapter of my coaching career: three consecutive NCAA Division III National Championship titles in my first three seasons (2023, 2024, 2025), nine All-American honors, and the 2025 USA Triathlon National Coach of the Year award. I don’t share this to impress you, I share it because it reflects what’s possible when athletes trust the process and do the work.

Outside of NCC, I serve as Head Coach of the Multisport Madness Junior Elite Triathlon Team in St. Charles, develop high performance athletes at the junior level while sending some of the top-ranked athletes around the world to complete at the highest level of Junior Elite racing. Watching young athletes discover what their bodies and minds are capable of never gets old. That same energy is what I bring to every adult athlete I work with at Woodward Endurance.

I follow data-driven, periodized training methods — but I never coach a spreadsheet. I coach a person. Your job, your family, your stress levels, your sleep, your life outside of training — all of it factors into how I build your plan and adjust it week to week.

I work with each athlete to balance Training Stress Score, fatigue, and outside factors so that you’re always building fitness, not burning out. Whether you’re working toward your first sprint finish or chasing a Kona qualification, the approach is the same: smart, sustainable, and built around you.
